For the new year, I thought I would do a quick post and a quick sketch to go along with it. I’m going a little old school and trying my hand at a linear perspective, in this case a two point perspective. In case you don’t know (I’m sure most of you do) or in case you have forgotten…
linear perspective
1.
a mathematical system for representing three-dimensional objects and space on a two-dimensional surface by means of intersecting lines that are drawn vertically and horizontallyand that radiate from one point (one-pointperspective) two points (two-pointperspective) or several points on a horizon lineas perceived by a viewer imagined in anarbitrarily fixed position.
For hand sketching, I am a big fan of both the one and two point perspectives. They are kind of the bread and butter of architectural sketches, or maybe I just like them simple.

Just a quick simple cityscape I did this afternoon, with a new year twist. Here’s to a year full of great architecture!
